The IrishCentral iPhone application can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store and installed on your iPhone or iPod Touch. It syncs via Wi-Fi or cellular network and downloads the latest news directly to your device. It has been designed to take advantage of the advanced capabilities and rich user interface of the iPhone.

What features does the IrishCentral iPhone application have?

The IrishCentral iPhone application has offline reading capabilities, a unique photo display experience, landscape article view and personalization options.

Does it cost anything to use the IrishCentral iPhone application?

No. The IrishCentral iPhone application is free to download and use. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the IrishCentral iPhone application uses your iPhone's cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage, especially while traveling.

Does the IrishCentral iPhone application include advertisements?

Yes. The IrishCentral iPhone application has display ads in fixed positions.

What devices will the IrishCentral iPhone application work on?

The IrishCentral iPhone application works on any iPhone or iPod Touch with operating system version 2.2.x. The IrishCentral application will not work on any other iPod device. To determine your device's O.S., connect the device to your computer and refer to the appropriate "Summary" page in iTunes, or go to the "Settings" area on the device itself.

How do I get the IrishCentral iPhone application?

The IrishCentral iPhone application is available for free by browsing the App Store on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can also download it to your computer through the App Store in iTunes.  (This link will open iTunes in a new window).
 
What news can I get on the IrishCentral iPhone application?

The application offers the latest articles from IrishCentral.com. Certain features are not available in the iPhone application, including multimedia (video). Please visit IrishCentral.com for those features.

Cheaper Android tablets (most of those under about $300) can't get apps from the Android Marketplace, but there are at least ten other app sites for Android that we can access. Please release your Android app on some of those too (SlideMe, Amazon, Android Pit, etc., etc.).
