20071225MR -- Christmas Carolers Rich Hill (left, front), Rusty Williams (right, center front) and Keriann Hill (age 14) (right) sing along with others in Flemington Tuesday morning. Before first light on Christmas morning, before the presents are opened, followers of a 97-year-old tradition will bundle into long johns and coats, scarves and mittens, before heading out to carol throughout the tiny Hunterdon County borough of Flemington. Groups of carolers set out at 5 a.m. stopping at homes that leave their porch light on. The tradition began in 1910 with an early morning serenade for the founder of the now-closed Children's Choir School, who was home sick, and has been carried on since.
