IrishCentral are delighted to announce another winner. Maureen Feeney Roser and her friend Diane Doyle are planning to hook up with friends in Ireland and see everything it has to offer this summer having won a free trip on our recent Facebook competition.

A regular IrishCentral reader, Feeney Roser simply spotted the contest on the site, liked IrishCentral’s Facebook page and entered to win these free flights.

Feeney Roser couldn’t believe her luck when the Aer Lingus flights to Ireland made it possible for her and her friend to meet up with her daughter this summer.

She told IrishCentral that her daughter will be travelling in Europe for the summer and that she and her friend had thought of making a trip to meet her. Feeney Roser and one of her best friend’s Diane Doyle had “talked about meeting in Ireland”

She added we “didn’t think we could pull it off financially.  When I saw this contest, I thought why not?  And now, thanks to IrishCentral, I can visit a place of my childhood dreams and see my daughter.”

Feeney Roser with met up with her daughter and friends in Dublin and plan to travel around the country. She told IrishCentral “I just can’t believe how fortunate I am”.

Doyle and Feeney Roser plan to get away on her dream vacation in July and spend 10 to 12 days travelling. Though they’re not sure where they’ll rest their heads she said she’s “a little overwhelmed” at the opportunity.

What she does know for sure is that she plans on enjoying all the wonderful things that Ireland has to offer in the company of her loved ones.

She said “I have been dreaming of visiting Ireland since I was little, and first heard about the Blarney Stone and stories of leprechauns, rainbows and pots of gold!

“I have a vision in my head of the most beautiful place on earth, and the friendliest, and I doubt I will be disappointed. Over the years, friends and relatives have visited and given me an impressive list of “must sees” - the Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Mohr, Blarney Castle, Waterford, Shannon, Cork, the Titanic Museum, tea at the Shelbourne, Galway Races and Arts Festival, the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl, etc. (12 days will never be enough!) -- but what I really look forward to are the long sunny days of summer, meeting some wonderful new Irish friends and having a real Guinness!”

For Feeney Roser it’s also a kind of homecoming, and fittingly taking place during the Gathering. She explained “I am a half Irish and half Polish American, and while I am proud of my Polish heritage, I somehow always knew I was more Irish than Polish - red hair, freckles, dry sense of humor…you get the idea.

“Anyway, I am told that my father’s family still lives in County Derry; and I am very excited to explore my Irish heritage.”
