Stefanie Preissner - @stefpreissner - is a writer, actor and self confessed messer.
German born, Cork bred, Stef is a theater artist based in Dublin. Right now she is (lonely) in Edinburgh at the International Fringe Festival with her hit show Solpadeine is My Boyfriend.
Stef graduated from Drama and Theatre Studies in UCC in 2008. From there she went on to study in The Gaiety School of Acting.
In 2011 she was nominated for Best Female Performance for her role as Ellie in her debut Dublin Fringe Play Our Father.
Other nominations include Best Female Performance as Jude in Bang Shoot Blast at the Gay Theatre Festival.
Solpadeine Is My Boyfriend was nominated for the Fishamble New Writing Award (best new play) and The Bewley’s Little Gem Award. (best play under 60 minutes) at the 2012 ABSOLUT Fringe.
Solpadeine is My Boyfriend has been produced by RTÉ Radio 1 and boasts being their most downloaded radio play to date.
Stefanie finds writing about herself in the 3rd person kind of strange and wonders who people actually think writes these biogs.
