We are a grand and noble family. Inishowen is the site of an annual family reunion that I have attended several times and was made to feel as though I was a cousin or nephew of all in attendance. As the rest of the family for the two generations back I have been able to track include Cronin, Grainger, O'Brien (s), Kennedy, Hurley, Connor, Hogan, Malloy, Dwyer, and Callahan With the likelihood that we share the Y chromosome of Naill of the Nine Hostages several times over I feel well rooted in the land of my anscetors.
My name is jason Daugherty and im just like Rhonda. I just signd up to the site and hope to learn alot. But like Rhonda i also would like some tips and/or help just find out as much s i can. Great site by the way.
its looking good so far.
My name is Rhonda Doherty. Although I have a very Ir ish last name, I have maybe 1/4 Irish in me. It is my Ir ish heritage that I am most proud of, though. I'm not quite sure why, but my heart and spirit is drawn there. I visited 3 years ago, and absolutely loved it there. So, back to the Doherty thing. I would love to be able to trace my ancestry, especially my Irish ancestry. The problem is that my family is very small and detached, and it is incredibly difficult for me to get any accurate information. Any tips?
