Ciara O’Sullivan proudly represented the Kingdom of Kerry and then some at Philadelphia Monday when she placed third in the Girls 11-12 solo championships and made her way to the winners' podium.

Decked out in the famous green and gold Kerry jersey, Ciara was supported by her brother Rian and parents Michael and Theresa.

Ciara, who attends the Sheehan Murphy School of Dance in Killarney, came all the way from the village of Camp on the Dingle Peninsula to Pennsylvania to dance her way into the top three 11-12-year-old girls.

“This trip was the chance of a lifetime,” said her proud father.  “You know, to get on the podium in Philadelphia is definitely something to be proud of!”

It certainly is - fair play to you, Ciara!
