Gee! St. Bogside Bunny. You've got a wicked sense of humour. Must be that Norn Iron painstipping humour characteristic of Ulsterites. Whatever about the nails, Jeshua's/Jesus's father was a carpenter, wasn't he? Ya always need to be careful about what your old man does for a living. The opposite of saint is sinner, not devil. Devil's are serious sinners. Anyway, these are all orthodox or canonical saints. What about SS Thomas/Philip/-Mary (Magdalen) - (Jesus's wife & mother of his children - Sarah and Michael.

I never knew there were 6 feast days attributed to St. Suibhne, I wonder if they mean 6 different saints?

My favorite Irish saint legend is that of St. Kevin. Although I am sure many priests told it with great earnestness I detect an irreverent Irish humor in the legend. ... St. Kevin, dedicated to celibate chastity went up a mountain in Wicklow to live far from temptation and temptresses. But a lovely young woman would climb up ebery day to tempt to the carnal delights. Finally, in his devotion to his chastity, he killed her. Then, realizing he had committed the sin of murder, committed suicide. The old habit of reading the lives of the saints presented saints as examples of one big virtue, so they had no problem with the murder and suicide since Kevin showed an exceptionally devotion to celibate chastity.
