Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day but no where more than in these top ten locations around the world. HotelsCombined.com did the research and found that from Dublin to  Auckland, New Zealand, these are the top spots around the world to party on St. Patrick's Day.

Here's the list:

1. Dublin, Ireland – La Stampa Hotel and Spa. Centrally located in the heart of Dublin, this luxurious boutique style townhouse offers Irish enthusiasts a chance to experience firsthand the world’s premier St. Patrick’s Day Festival, Ireland’s largest national celebration.

2. New York City –
Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel. Located within the hotel, the Wheeltapper Pub invites parade-watchers a chance to unwind after the largest U.S. St. Patrick’s Day parade in this intimate venue decorated with authentic turn-of-the-century memorabilia from Ireland’s railroad system.

3. Chicago, Illinois – The Drake Hotel. A Chicago icon for more than 80 years, The Drake combines tradition and elegance to create a perfect complement to the city’s historic St. Patrick’s Day celebration, which begins with the world-famous dyeing green of the Chicago River.

4. Boston, Massachusetts – The Lenox Hotel. Travelers commemorate one of the oldest American St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with a new spin on “green” in Boston’s premier environmentally innovative hotel, which was chosen as one of the five greenest luxury hotels in America by U.S. News & World Report.

5. Montreal, Quebec, Canada – Hotel Le Crystal. At the onset of Canada’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade, a giant replica of St. Patrick greets parade-watchers and signals the official start of the festival. Afterwards, visitors enjoy a peaceful and cozy stay at Hotel Le Crystal, located just blocks from the parade route.

HAHA THIS MADE ME LAUGH WELL IT IS AN AMERICAN NEWSPAPER AFTER ALL.. I IRISH AND I LIVE HERE AND YES I WOULD PUT DUBLIN FIRST BUT 2 WOULD BE CORK WHICH HAVE AN AMAZING FESTIVAL AND 3RD GALWAY WHICH ALSO IS GREAT ST PATRICKS WEEKEND AND 4TH I WOULD PUT LONDON WHERE I WENT LAST YEAR ... CHICAGO, NEW YORK MAY WORK FOR AMERICANS BUT IT SEEMS VERY 'PLASTIC' AND OVER THE TOP TO ME... I DONT LIKE PLASTIC AND OVER THE TOP ....
As an Innkeeper in Savannah's histsoric district (located at the beginning of the parade route), I can attest to the huge heritage celebration in Savannah, beginning this weekend with the greening of the fountain in Forsyth Park and others. We LOVE sharing our heritage with the world.
Billie, Ireland arent playing the UK in the 6 nations on the 17th. We are playing England.
I will be spending it hopefully trashing the U.K. in six nations.
@edmundburke - good and helpful post. I'd have to agree with you.
A couple of years ago I had a great time at the Irish Club in Brisbane Australia. The parade was also very nice. Going back next year.
Thanks for the Irish view edmundburke, just might follow your advice!
As a Chicagoan, I have to beg to differ on the place to stay for St. Patrick's Day. I would rather recommend the Hilton Towers Hotel on Michigan Avenue. A world class hotel, at only three blocks from the parade route, it is closer to the parade. Also, it usually hosts the Mercy Home St. Patrick's Day party in its facilities, which gathers crowds of parade-goers after the parade. Finally, the Hilton has Kitty O'Shea's Bar, which is a replica of a Dublin pub, features traditional music, and hires Irish servers. So even if rains cats and dogs, you can stay all day in the Hilton and still enjoy a lively Chicago St. Patrick's Day. By contrast, the Drake has always been the favored WASP venue, has hosted British royalty, and even features a photo of Queen Elizabeth in its lobby. Hilton over the Drake for St. Pat's any year...
