The discovery in the Atlantic WAS a main NEWS story... Can't you read...?So your question is otiose? Now YOU answer...where your and your fellow travellers reports on Dorrisgate..? Oh you didn't write any...!No wonder Irish Politics is so rotten when no-one is prepared to hold anyone to account...It takes a Law (natch) graduate and an online journalist to do it...well the cat's well and truly out of the bag...Perhaps you should stick with National Geographic you obviously think you are too good for the hoi polloi on this site...That's all I've got to say on this topic...

Do you believe the above article (oh just to keep you happy -list) deserves to be a main story instead of the story about Ireland's discovery in the Atlantic?
It is a very simple question and yet you seem incapable of answering it.

This is not an ARTICLE as someone with your pedantic tendencies should know...it is a LIST...that is why it is numbered...It is a bit of light hearted nonsense which people enjoy as a bit of frivolous diversion...IC wrote about the discovery to which you refer to in the NEWS pages this is the ROOTS blog...Where were your articles about one of the biggest Election calamities/near misses in the history of the Irish State...keeping a low profile on that were you...IC is to be congratulated and Danny Boy (sigh) in particular for breaking the Bloggergate story...apologies to Carl Berstein who I know reads my every word! Unlike the mainstream Irish Politics journalists...who shied away from it for fear of 'upsetting the apple tart'...I wouldn't like to see what you'd write about a site you didn't like...since you never stop *moaning* about IC...If you mean make IC more like the IT then NO I wouldn't like to see it 'better'...I like the commenters on this site the regular change of topics lack of intrusive moderation and the immediate publication of comments that keeps the 'conversation' going...So if you don't mind let those who take these little lists at face value and laugh at the good of them enjoy them without your constant whingeing...there are plenty of 'serious' comment boards on this site...!

Tóg go socair é themurphia! (take it easy). As I recall you agreed with my crticism regarding IC's 'house style' regarding the use of the word Taoiseach. I spoke in Irish because it didn't matter what language I wrote in; I hope you enjoyed it. I dont think you understand my criticism of IC. I like the website, in general, however I want it to be better. It's a very simple question themurphia: Do you believe the above article deserves to be a main article instead of the news about Ireland's discovery in the Atlantic?

The above is not an 'article' it is a list...an amusing and lighthearted diversion...I find it charming in a daft sort of way...as obviously do others who get that it is not a weighty matter of 'news'...It is obviously not to your taste so why bother reading it...or this site for that matter...you are always moaning about the housestyle or the quality of the articles or the contributors... Unlike you most of the the contributors to this site enjoy reading the articles and comment/ing...I expect your comments in Irish are uncomplimentary so I won't bother translating...What sort of excuses for 'men' behave like you and your cronies writing snide whingey comments... Talking of dull articles maybe you should spend more time on your own blog which has suddenly died a death...

themurphia: Go bhfóire Dia ar do Chiall! Ní dhlífinn a mhalairt díot. Clearly you think the above article displays effort and is worthy of publication on IC. It is also clear that you believe that this article deserves to be a main article while the news of the Celtic Explorer expedition (the discovery of a large vent field, that has now been named Moytirra by the Irishmen who discovered it; the discovery of probably three new species etc.) does not. That's not news as far as you or 'Irish' Central is concerned. Pointe amháin eile, duirt tú: 'you never stop moaning'...? An amhlaidh nach dtuigeann tú mé? Is fuar an scéal anois é...Dearc ort féin.

@BippyBellito I am Happy for you and your family and wish you and yours the best. But how about all the other Irish who did not have the option of deportation. Not everyone had the fare. Many Died by hunger, many died by the crown, many died trying to feed there Children. Your Family got lucky. Millions of other Irish Died without the "LUCK OF THE IRISH". It is not just a saying. It is wrong!

If it weren't for bad luck the Irish would rule the world.
God has to dispense bad luck as well as good luck. God chose the strong Irish for the bad luck. Bad luck makes us stronger. Gods made me stronger, because of the bad luck. I rather be strong then luck.
