"America’s greatest president"? That's a matter of opinion.

Although a lifelong Lincoln fan, I don't expect to see this movie. Why? After enduring Daniel Day-Lewis in "There will be Blood", I practically swore never to see this actor again; I was that turned off. Now, listening to previews of Day-Lewis' nauseating accent as Mr. Lincoln has turned me off to his latest (bucket of urine). The actor might have been reasonable as a New York resident of that epoch in "The Gangs of New York", but portraying Mr. Lincoln is a horse of a very different color entirely. This actor is not qualified to portray the great man.

Brian Kelly is my #1 thank you. He not only put the win back in Irish but he also created "win one at a time, don't look ahead. Others have said it, but Kelly has achieved it." Go Irish and don't worry about the haters. They are just jealous, as always.

Notre Dame? The greatest? Yes they are a very good team now but even if they go undefeated they probably won't play in the National Championship game because of their weak schedule. Beating Oklahoma ( a good but not great team ) was a plus and USC looks like a fair, at best, team id ND wins that one. Other than that---who? As far as Dowd's talent there is some disagreement but it is your opinion. Not shared by all.

One speacial reason we should be thankful for is that our Constitutional guarantee to freedom of worship is still intact, even though it it facing a serious challenge. In any case, we still celebrte this special day of Thanksgiving to God for our many belssings and benefits in this great nation.
