"The Christmas Story" has to be, at least, in the first five. What other movie, at Christmastime or otherwise, is honored with a viewing marathon where it's played repeatedly for 24 hours on a prominent, well-watched American cable channel? It should even win the acclaimed "Major Award," equivalent to a lamp supported by a net stocking draped female leg.

Any list that includes Elf ,and doesn't include March of the Wooden Soldiers (Babes in Toyland)with Oliver & Hardy and Christmas Story(you'll shoot your eye out kid)is big time bogus!
