I would edit out the Irish Americans that are only distantly and partly Irish AND who don't ever write about Irish themes: Mariah Carey, Barack Obama, Paris Hilton, for example.

Of them all, I am glad to see Stephen Colbert on the list. He has a true Irish wit and the courage to match.
