Irish bartenders don't screw around drawing childish shamrocks on the head: that is a silly American gimmick. A properly pulled pint of stout has a perfectly smooth, faintly convex head.
THE BEST BARTENDERS KNOW HOW TO PUT A SHAMROCK IN THE HEAD
No one pours a better Guinness then the lovely Francess Tranor (of County Armagh) at PJ Leahys in Long Island City, NY. I have been all over the world including Ireland more times than I can count and her Guinness is poured with more love and tastes better than anywhere I have ever enjoyed one!!! Francess you need to give them all a lesson!!! :)
I have my certificate from ST James gate it only went over the pour. Is Guinness kept with nitrogen, and not the gas used on most Domestic beers? What a great drink much better than ice coffee.
I'll be visiting Ireland for 1st time in Sept. Looking foreward to enjoying a real beer.
And I am about a quart low!
What's to think about the Perfect Pint...just drink and enjoy! My lovely wife was trained at St James Gate back in 2004...it is her favorite health drink,
I think a Guinness sounds GOOD ABOUT NOW!!!
