I love the idea of the bells. I haven't seen that done before here in Ireland but I'll remember it for my daughter's wedding when the time comes. It sounds romantic! Harvest Knots were originally made from straw for the Festival of Lughnasa in August and were handed out between loving young couples.
What a huge clanger by the IrishCentral's website's front page editors! - Posting this article's header under another headline describing a murdered bride in her wedding dress???? Sheeeesh!
We had a Celtic banner, the wedding gown was made by a seamstress in Ireland, the bride and groom toasted in Irish crystal glasses, but alas, they married in May and divorced after 11 years.
Hogwash
There are links talked about but missing in this article. I'm afraid we got the unedited version :o(
We met in May and married two years later in April 36 years ago but I wish we had the bell:)
WHAT ABOUT THE LUCKY BOXING GLOVES - for later on...
