Mr. Moriarty, Thank you so much for this research. My grandfather came from Kerry as a teenager. Worked to bring his mother and sisters over. Bought them a boarding house for income, then put himself through Harvard. He was so modest and kind, even though he bacame quite successful. I am not surprised to learn the proud history of this clan,of which he was a sterling example. I don't know if this is a clan trait, but his sisters were the most beautiful women I have ever seen, and very gifted musicians.
It very intresting. I wonder who I share my blood with???? Ever look at a Sydney,Chicago, or any NY phone book???
In the part of Kerry I come from you couldn't through a stone without hitting an O'Connor/Connor
I think I may be related to Tim O'Connor, Ireland's Consul General. As best I know my Irish ancestors came from the Dingle Peninsula area of Ireland. I have very vague memories of my great grandmother talking of Shannon and Limerick.
