My father, Frank (NMN)Byrnes, born July 1894 Chicago ?, died May 1955, Houston. I wished I had asked more questions when he was alive because he seems to be the man who never was.

My father, Samuel J. O'Byrne, was born in Cork City and lived on Evergreen Rd. He left Ireland in 1928 and never went home. He once told me he was with DeValera after the Rising. He died when I was 13; I wish he'd felt comfortable telling us more.
