Can this be true? A story on IC that shows the CC in a positive light??? UNPRECEDENTED! -- This website, from its founder to the lowliest wannabe Hollywood trash gossip-monger(and that is one true description), does not fail to present on every one of its issues at minimum 2 or 3 stories meant to attract the worst of the lapsed, anti, ill-informed and proddy Catholic haters. -- The problem is not that 'you report' but rather that there is an infinitesimal attempt at balancing the information with the myriad of stories of Catholic clergy and laity practicing their faith vigorously, even to the point of heroic virtue. -- This, and not rancid scandals which the media keeps on resurrecting in order to discredit the Church and silence its voice in the culture wars, is what your staff emphasizes. -- Your initials IC are only a partial reflection of your philosophy, they should rather be ICCC, for Irish Contra Catholic Cudgel.

And the Catholic Church forbids the ordination of women - what a waste of resources especially when there is such a shortage of priests! My money does not go anywhere near first or second collections - it goes directly to causes for children, This nun certainly seems worthy of my hard earned money. At least it won't be going to fund Bernard Law's plush apartment in Rome. In Boston, the money collected for retired priests went to victims of priestly rapes.

What a heart-wrenching story! But it opens up a window to the extent of the problem of sexual exploitation in the greater culture and all around the world. There exists unprecedented sexual exploitation of others in many forms everywhere.
It is not only the diabolic sexual predators under the guise of the priesthood within the Church...it is the sick pestilence of the greater society. People need to be outraged about child sexual exploitation in all parts of the world, in all jurisdictions of society and begin to change the culture beginning with ourselves. John Paul II's Theology of the Body is the foundation from which we all need to begin to foster a culture of authentic love to put an end to the abuse of others. God must be sorely greived by it all.
