Susan Byron - go buy a proper history book about St. Brigid and learn some facts before you spread any more of the trash you wrote above. She was not a pagan goddess but an exceptionally holy Irish woman, gifted with working many miracles. You confuse her with another woman known in Irish folklore as Breeyith of the Ashless Fire, the great nature goddess, the Healer, the Mother of Poets, and goddess of Fire Smiths - who WAS regarded as an Irish pagan goddess. St. Brigid’s Feast Day is today, 1st February solely because that’s the date she died on but which date was, back in her day, regarded as the first day of Irish Spring.
