Day Care part of the distruction of the family. I was raised in the 50's, when mothers stayed home. Now mothers have to work. In America, mothers income, or the fathers income which is ever smaller goes to taxes, child care, and increased expenses of sending the mother to work. The children get exposed to more colds, and flu at day care. Nothing nice about Day Care, except that the parents didn't abort the child.
Hi April, I have a baby nearly the same age as you. My Rachel is 11 mo's old. I would say this, if you don't need to put your baby in day care, don't. A baby's main need at this age is for his primary caregiver. Babies don't actually need friends their own age at this stage and if you feel he needs them you can always have playdates while you're there watching. Maybe he's just not ready for daycare. However I totally understand if you need to work. I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I can work from home and have my kids with me and my heart goes out to everyone who has to put their baby in daycare. Best of luck with everything.
