Dear Kathleen C, the answer to your question is District Electoral Divisions (DEDs). You'll find more information on Form B (generally you're only scanning the information on Form A).

It's a great plus for me, searching for my mother's true birthdate. But I don't know what DED means, and I can't seem to find an explanation. Birth? Death? Other?
