i so much agree with the post by irishwxman concerning our "first language". i speak Gaelic as well as English. Thank the Good Lord that my parents and grandparents were sensible enough to teach my 2 sisters, my brother and myself our "Native Language!"

Irish girls are beautiful-no doubt. Do they have "their ways?" I suppose they do, but then, who doesn't, be it a guy or gal? Sometimes I even annoy myself. Anyway,I love you Irish gals....

liamkeyes: Big deal. I have found that the only place the Irish know of in the US is NYC, maybe Boston also. I'm always amazed at how the Irish hang around Woodside and the West Bronx, they have no curiosity about what's on the other side of the Hudson.

I have often asked Americans "What part of Ireland were your ancestors from?" The most numerous answer..."MMM Dublin I think." in other words, the only place that they know of in Ireland is Dublin.

English is most definitely NOT your first language. It was a language forced upon the Irish by the British. Gaelic is your first language....and should be the national language.

1/Why did God make woman last?..He didn't want someone telling him what to do. ;)2/Why haven't any women ever gone to the moon?..It doesn't need cleaning yet. :)3/How many feminists does it take to change a light bulb?..Trick question, feminists can't change anything!4/If your wife keeps coming out of the kitchen to nag at you, what have you done wrong?..Made her chain too long ;)

In other words, don't be a twit. These tips really seem to be more common sense things than anything else. Who does not open a door for a lady? Sorry, I forgot that manners a in short supply here in the good 'ole US today. Oh well, maybe I will have some luck in the future and meet the Irish "girl" (woman) that I have been hoping to meet. Besides, American women have an attitude of entitlement, and that really drives me nuts!
