I am a typical Irish woman, thou I think my Dad and 8 brothers would not agree. But 1 testament I have is from my 5 year old grandson he thinks I am better than even santa claus, I play basketball, soccer, gaa, take him out on his bcycle,I dress up with him for halloween, paddys day,I got a bouncy castle for him at 6 months old, which we both loved.I taught him how to take screws out with a drill at 2, gave him a shot glass of guinness at 3 which he hated but drank anyway, I hate it also. He has promised to bring me dancing, and when 17 will I buy him a jeep so he can mind me and bring me shopping. But best of all when he's 20 he wants to marry me. I am 49 going on 17 since this wonderful little boy came into my life.

If an American male has any depth or wits about him, then I should think we would be highly intrigued by females of other nations. I truly enjoyed the tips here. I would like to think if one (a yank like me) is civil and polite, the topics of politics or religion can be broached, providing we do not come across as too opinionated or intransigent. But, the sad fact is, most Americans are not deep or thoughtful. They are truly narcissistic and boastful for all the wrong reasons. Especially if you are not grounded in some appreciation of God, then you will be far too focused on pleasure and sex and making yourself look so important or accomplished. It is such a bore, and such a sham. Get serious about life and religion (without hating on others' religion) and you will become much more charming. Being humble does not mean you cannot still be humorous and interesting.

I agree with cillowen with the usage of the f word. However, I met a beautiful nice girl, I imagine she's a girl, she's 4 days younger than my daughter. Met her in Galway, she's from Meath. The Icelanders themselves has long said they were half Irish but the royals of Scandinavia called them liars. Icelandic DNA shows Irish on the female side and Norwegian on the Male side, a puzzle still to be worked out. The Icelanders themselves say they were never "Vikings" and the Irish women were not slaves. National Geographic has an article about 25 years ago saying the Icelandic sagas were originally Irish. By the way didn't the Scandinavians have to come from the South? Does anyone remember reading about the "Ice age." I have been to Ireland numerous times and think Irish women are beautiful.
