lets hope more drunken irish nonsense does not prevail. It (halloween)as samhain's religious extension by the Church was always an occasion to get drunk. Like Christmas (saturnalia - Churched), Easter (Astarte - churched), and most religious celebrations condoned by alcohol excess. Monks brew Buckfast (an Irish Fav), and Cider (another fav). Irish drunkenness costs the tax-payer. Perhaps the Church should start paying for the drunk and disorderly damages it promotes. Chicago, New York, etc are proof that this dysfunctional alcoholic religious illness is not going away. Deal with it as Canada, Australia, Switz does. Stay sobre or get out! Maybe a tax on Vatican booze industry might help. Christenings, weddings, communions, deaths, etc... all booze fuelled occasions of nonsense. As an Irishman It might help if GAA, RC religion, and gombeen alcohol was banned in Ireland. But if you think I protest too much (and I don't), check out youtube "THE SAVAGE EYE" drunk Irish... and see what religion, GAA, gombeen politics have done to "an otherwise (non-alcoholic and good luck with that search)" nice nation!
