Last Tuesday evening, the Wellness & Education Services team shared a brilliant evening of food, music and dance with some very talented company on a cold, snowy night. The Banshee Pub in Dorchester offered a warm, festive haven for the festivities and Shauna took good care of us all at the bar. We are so grateful to Ray for hosting us and sponsoring our "Designated Driver" deal at the bar with free soft drinks.

The Greenhills Bakery and The Butcher Shop Market in Dorchester bothdonated one of their lovely Irish goodies baskets for our raffle as well as two Gerard's Restaurant gift certificates in our raffle as well. You have spoilt us for the last couple of years and we are so grateful to you for your continued generosity. Congrats to all our winners! I hope you thoroughly enjoy your Christmas treats!
Our volunteer nurses, Maureen McNally, Bridget Giovanello and Norah Lavelle were presented with a gift to again thank them for all their dedication and hard work this year. Nearly 400 graduates have come through our program since 2009 and we are thrilled they are willing to run another program in Spring 2013. We had some wonderful music too, with Maureen and Gerry McNally playing with Padraic Walsh and a "guest" singer, Irene Beach, who sang some beautiful Irish tunes! (Check out her photo on our Twitter feed!!) As always, we must thank the Irish Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Boston Irish Consulate for all their continued support, without whom we could not do what we do.
As Director of Wellness and Education Services, I would be remiss if I did not make a very special thank you to my wonderful, talented and dedicated team: Kielan O'Boyle and Ann Marie Cugno. They are the reason our programs are a success and I am so honored and grateful to work with them each day. Thank you ladies! Thank you all, bring on 2013 and Merry Christmas!
