Performing the Seige of Ennis at the IPC monthly Mass & Social.
By Catherine Moloney, Social Services and Senior Program Coordinator

Cara Club

Bridget Rosenow from Centre Pieces Design in Brighton gave us a very enjoyable flower arranging demonstration this week. There was a draw to see who would bring home the beautiful flower arrangement she made and it was won by Jenny Brooks, a Cara Club regular. Nobody went home empty handed as Bridget brought bunches of red, pink, white and yellow roses with her and gave one to everyone. We had some great singing afterwards including a rendition of the Irish Rose from Michael Finnerty.

Dorchester Coffee Morning

Our ever faithful Dorchester Coffee Morning crew braved the soaring temperatures and turned up on Wednesday morning. There was a great buzz and plenty of chatter over the hum of the air-conditioning units which were working overtime to keep us all cool. Thank you to Marie Burke from Celtic Angels, who joined us for the morning, offering blood pressure screenings and health check-ups.

Happy Birthday to Nonnie Dirrane, who had a special birthday last week. Nonnie is an occasional visitor to our coffee morning in Dorchester.

We were very sorry to hear of the death of Tom Mannion. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Ester and his children as well as to his sister Barbara Sullivan, his cousin Bridie King and to all of his extended family.

of the floral arrangement at the CARA Club.
We would also like to extend our deepest sympathy to Anne Byrne and her family on the sudden death of her father, Timmy McAuliffe. Anne’s warm and caring personality is a great addition to our team of volunteers on Wednesday mornings.

Monthly Mass and Social at the ICCNE

We had a full house at our monthly mass and luncheon despite the record high temperatures. It was a very enjoyable afternoon with plenty of people up dancing along to the music of the popular Dan Hallissey. Thanks as always to all the volunteers whose hard work and commitment made the day possible.
