SAG Awards Style: pale and interesting

Just like the Globes the pale colors were the most popular. Lea Michele dazzled in a sparkling Oscar de la Renta, Amy Adams wore a vintage style Herve L. Leroux gown and Natalie Portman dressed her baby bump in a strapless white Azzaro. Hilary Swank, Glee’s Heather Morris and Eva Longoria also rocked nudes and peaches.
Unfortunately some of the cooler looks weren’t as successful with Winona Ryder looking like she was walking down the aisle and not the red carpet, in a white strapless Alberta Ferretti gown from the Spring 2011 bridal collection.
Michele wasn’t the only one donning “Oscar” as she calls him. For us mere mortals that’s Oscar de la Renta. He was the most popular designer on the red carpet With Tina Fey in stunning red lace and Jennifer Lawrence hot pink both wore pre-Fall 2011 dresses.
Since I gave Helena Bonham Carter a hard time about her Globes outfit I have to mention that she looked positively demure in a black and white Marc Jacobs paired with simple black pumps and pearls. This is almost as shocking for its simplicity as her last dress was for its craziness. Would you believe that Freida Pinto even wore the same dress to a premiere in October? I don’t know what to think anymore!
