Road Bowling Championship coming to East Durham

The USA national championship (North American Region Finals) of one of the world’s oldest sports, Irish road bowling, will send bowls flying down a country lane in East Durham, New York, August 2-4, 2013, hosted by the Bol~Chumann New York Road Bowling Club. Winners in East Durham will advance to the All Ireland Finals in Ireland in September.

The best players in the USA will compete in this unique and exciting sport. These skilled bowlers can hurl the iron and steel bowl, about the size of baseball, 250, even 300 yards down a narrow country road.
