New York's Aisling Center
The Aisling Irish Community Center in Yonkers has announced the launch of its new art competition.

Design a Sign. The competition is open to everybody from school students to amateur artists to professional designers.

The Aisling Center on McLean Avenue is expanding and will be doubling its current space. The winning design will be featured across the front of the entire building.

The existing awning on both buildings will soon be removed and replaced by a custom made wood sign. The name of the newly expanded center will be Aisling Irish Community and Cultural Center, to reflect current and future programs and services being provided at the center.

The width of the sign will be 29 feet, and length will be 18 feet. All entries must be submitted in flat format on A4 size paper (11" x 8"). The sign must include the full name of the center and any design/border reflective of Irish culture and heritage. No framed entries.

Each entry must be accompanied by an application form, available at the Aisling Center, and submitted by e-mail to info@aislingcenter.org or by standard mail to Aisling Irish Community Center, 990 McLean Avenue,
Yonkers, New York, 10704.

All entries, together with the artist’s details, may be used in publicity campaigns. Photographs of the winner may also be used in publicity campaigns.
