On Sunday, November 4th Mr. Dooley’s pub opened their doors to Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center (MCAEC) for a fundraising concert which raised over $1,200 for the school to meet their fundraising goal in the Rodman Ride for Kids. MCAEC is a private, tuition free school for girls in grades 4-8 from low income families in Dorchester’s Grove Hall neighborhood.
The event included band members from Devri (Declan Houton Larry Flint, Steve O'Callaghan and Chuck Parrish), Katie McD and the Irish Cross-Country Band (Martin Butler and Damon Libert), Patsy Whelan and Mark. There were special guest appearances made by singer, Pauline Wells and Caroline O’Callaghan showed off her extreme accordion skills! Over 75 guests came out to support the event and all of the musician’s donated their time which helped the school out immensely.

The proceeds raised at the event will be matched by 10% from the Rodman Ride for Kids. The Rodman Ride for Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for youth-focused social service agencies that support at-risk kids in Massachusetts.
