Irish midfielder Will Flood is poised to reunite with former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan at Middlesbrough.

The Dubliner was an extremely peripheral figure at Celtic since Tony Mowbray took over, making only two starts this season, and the former Manchester City midfielder will hope to reignite his career with the Championship side.

Strachan is hoping to bring a few other Celtic players south of the border, with Gary Caldwell, Chris Killen and Barry Robson three of the Hoops’ players he is keeping close tabs on.
