“I love the atmosphere and people have been so friendly and hospitable since I started volunteering in February”.
Kathleen Campbell, a native of Kingston, Rhode Island, joins the the IIIC as our newest volunteer. Kathleen works on special projects at the IIIC under the direction of the Executive Director, Ronnie Millar. A graduate of English Literature from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Kathleen is just after returning from Northern Ireland where she was working with the Corrymeela Community, a Peace and Reconciliation project that seeks to bring people of all faiths together in a safe place, where they can talk and learn about one another.

When Kathleen returned to the U.S she met up with Ronnie the IIIC Executive Director, who had previously been Center Director at Corrymeela for five years.

“It seemed like the perfect transition after living in Northern Ireland for a few years. It’s a place of welcome for people from all over searching for guidance” says Kathleen.

At present, Kathleen is dividing her time between searching for a job in Boston and volunteering with the IIIC. If you are interested in a volunteer or internship experience with the IIIC, email volunteering@iicenter.org.
