As the season of giving approaches, the IIIC will celebrate three individuals whose spirit of giving back to the community embodies true leadership. On December 6 at the JFK Library and Museum, the IIIC’s annual Solas Awards Celebration will honor Kevin Kelley, Beverly Edgehill Ed. D., and Vincent Ryan.
Kevin Kelley is CEO of Ironshore, an insurance company with offices in Boston, Ireland and across the globe. A member of IIIC’s advisory board, Kevin has been a steadfast friend of the organization for many years. He also serves on the board of Cardinal Spellman High School, where he started an educational grant for teachers, and provided scholarships for students.
Helping others make their own impact on their communities, Beverly Edgehill Ed. D. spent six years at The Partnership. There, as CEO and President, she trained future leaders from a diversity of cultural backgrounds. Beverly is now the Vice President of Organizational Development, of the TJX Companies, Inc.
Vincent Ryan is chairman of Schooner Capital and founder of the Schooner Foundation. A champion of international human rights, he endowed the first Human Rights Chair at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He is an advocate of campaign finance reform and a long time supporter of Partners in Health and the Montserrat Aspirers.
The IIIC will present these outstanding leaders with the Solas Award. Named from the Gaelic word for “light,” the award recognizes our communities’ beacons of light, people whose work inspires us.
Prior to the award ceremony, a reception will take place in the stunning pavilion providing guests the opportunity to network while enjoying New England favorite gourmet fare. Entertainment will feature the talented Boston City Singers, along with Ciarán Nagle, one of the original Three Irish Tenors, who will be accompanied by his wife and renowned singer and violinist, Tara Novak. Museum exhibits will also remain open for guests to enjoy during the reception.
Seats are $250 and your support enables the IIIC to continue providing critical services to thousands of immigrant families and individuals. To reserve your seats, please contact Mary Kerr at 617-695-1554 or mkerr@iiicenter.org.
