Krystle Campbell with her close friend Matt Lynch
In the aftermath of the recent terror attacks at the Boston marathon, several fundraisers and benefit events have been set up to raise money for foundations such as the ‘One Fund’. Additionally, friends and relatives of the victims are ensuring that their loved ones are never forgotten.

29-year-old Krystle M Campbell was at the finish line at the Boston marathon to cheer on a friend before she tragically lost her life in the explosions on Boylston Street. Sadly, those close to Krystle are left to come to terms with losing her.

Krystle, her family and friends were regular patrons of The Burren in Davis Square, Somerville. Tommy McCarthy is the owner of The Burren and also an accomplished musician. On hearing the tragic news, Tommy decided to dedicate a song which he composed, 'I Know' in memory of Krystle and also to raise funds for the foundation created in her honor.

'I Know' is performed by Irish singer SeanOg and is now available to download on iTunes. All proceeds from the downloads will go to the Krystle M Campbell memorial fund. To download the track go to https://itunes.apple.com/ie/album/i-know-single/id598227019

Matt Lynch, a close friend of Krystle’s for over 13 years, is helping the Campbell family co-ordinate community led memorial and fundraising efforts. In an interview with The Irish Emigrant, Matt expressed gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of support that the Campbell family has received. Thanking Tommy McCarthy for his contribution, Matt described how the lyrics of 'I Know' spoke to the deep affection held by so many people for Krystle, adding "I told all of her close friends of this tribute and many have already purchased the song in her honor."

“Krystle was my best friend, my Number One. She was the friend I could go to for anything. Whether it was to talk, ask for help, get advice, or just a shoulder to cry on. She would be there, no questions asked.

Krystle was a wonderful girl with gorgeous blue eyes, an amazing smile, a great personality, and a beautiful soul. We will hold on tight to her memory in both our hearts and minds. She will never be forgotten.”
