Get some local help with The Friends of Irish
Research to track down your roots

The Friends of Irish Research meet on Friday evenings, with several consultants available during each meeting to help you with your family research.

Their library is a place of good conversation and connections for family roots and heritage. Structuring your search is invaluable for both those stumped and those beginning to find their Irish roots.

The group can use a number of aids to help you with your genealogy.  Ancestry International and the Origins Network are subscription services that they will refer to commonly.  In addition, there are several other free online sites that we find helpful.  They also have a research reference library of books and compact disks that are a wealth of information and also available to use in your research.

We will be meeting on the following Fridays: August 23, September 6, 13, 20 and 27. Check our website www.FriendsofIrshResearch.org for updated schedules and resources.

Meetings take place from 7:30 to  9:30 at 899 N. Main St., Brockton. MA.

If you plan to come it is best to email us, at friendsofirishresearch@gmail.com, in advance, but walk-ins are always welcomed.
