Hmm. What's going on with Bill O'Reilly?
How does a man with his broadcast experience accidentally mix up the world's most infamous terrorist with the President of the United States?
One is called President Barack Obama, the other is called Osama Bin Laden.
Hard to see how an experienced broadcaster could make that slip.
Was it the tele-prompter? Did someone make a mistake there?
There's no way a professional should make a blooper like that.
It's hardly a minor consideration to call President Obama "Osama."
When I started out in journalism I accidentally left the apostrophe out of the word Shi'ite in a news broadcast at Boyneside Radio.
The reporter, Shane Harrison (now with the BBC), didn't skip a beat as he read the name correctly despite my best efforts to trip him up.
Makes you wonder what O'Reilly was thinking.
Watch the clip and see what you think.
