The '22' hitmaker is planning to refurbish her $17 million mansion in Rhode Island, New England, once she and the 'Lego House' singer have finished touring North America together and the blonde beauty has "promised" to build her friend his own personal space to stay in when he visits.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Taylor and Ed are really good pals and their friendship has grown even stronger since they started the tour.

"They were on the road together when the deal went through on her house and she's been sharing all of her ideas for decorating with him.

"She's promised that there will be a special bedroom allocated to him whenever he wants to come and stay."
The pair were the subject of romance rumours after they worked together on Taylor's latest album 'Red' and striking up a close friendship on tour together.

But Ed insists their bond is strictly friendship and believes it would be "idiotic" and "unprofessional" to take things a step further.

When recently asked if he was dating Taylor, he said: "I think it would be incredibly unprofessional and idiotic for me to do that.

"To go on tour for six months with someone and hook up with them just before you go out on tour, which is what people think we did - that's just a really silly thing to do, because the tour would be very awkward by now, and it's not, so that's that."
