Stephen Colbert, presenter of Comedy Central’s 'The Colbert Report,' is in Vancouver to support the U.S. Skating team that his fans, the Colbert Nation, sponsor.

When a Dutch bank that sponsors the U.S. Skating team went bankrupt, The Colbert Nation (the show’s fan base) donated money to become the team’s sponsor.

Colbert will film footage this week to air on his show next week, and as part of the deal he made with NBC to film inside the Olympic Oval, will color commentate with Bob Costas on Wednesday.

To mark the occasion, Shepard Fairey, the man responsible for President Obama’s ‘Hope’ poster, made the above poster for Colbert’s Olympic effort.

Colbert's fans are being urged to print and paste the poster around the city, so if you are in Vancouver and see this around town, now you know why!
