Robert Pattinson

Friends of the 'Twilight' star are said to be concerned about his nightly jaunts to Los Angeles hotspots in the months following his second split from co-star Kristen Stewart, who cheated on him with director Rupert Sanders last year, and they fear his burgeoning career could suffer if he gains a club-hopping reputation like other young actors.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kristen broke his heart, he's not been the same since she cheated.

Some of his friends and business team want to ensure his life takes the right direction.

"His team don't want him to be defined by what clubs he goes to or what women he dates -- they want him to be known for being one of the great actors of his generation. They don't want future opportunities jeopardized."

The 27-year-old star first split from Kristen, 23, in June when her fling with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert emerged, however, the pair eventually reunited before calling it quits permanently earlier this year.

Although Robert shot to fame with the 'Twilight' movies, making him a worldwide star, it's thought music is his first love and pals think he may turn to singing as he has become disenchanted with his Hollywood career.

A pal said: "He's an amazing guitarist, pianist and songwriter and wanted a record deal more than a role in a blockbuster movie franchise.

"There is always a chance he will start putting music first. He is happiest chilling out and playing the guitar. Or he could just decide this show business lark is not for him -- although he may no longer have that choice."
