One Direction and Johnny Deep
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor - who is also a keen musician - invited the boy band to his Los Angeles home studio in order to impress his 13-year-old daughter, Lily Rose.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Johnny found out 1D were in town and, after making a few calls, they came round."

"He brought out his piano and guitars for the boys to test and they had a little jam session.

"Lily Rose just watched with her blushing mates while her dad temporarily joined the world's biggest boy band."

Johnny - who also has 10-year-old son Jack John with former partner Vanessa Paradis - has previously showcased his musical talents by appearing on Oasis track 'Fade Away' and writing and performing part of the track 'Banga' by Patti Smith. He has also performed live with groups including The Black Keys and The Pogues.

Meanwhile One Direction - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - have continued their trip to the US to promote new album 'Take Me Home', performing in front of five English-style red telephone boxes in Manhattan, New York City.

They also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres TV show, where Harry explained his latest tattoos, a pair of birds on his chest.

He told the host: "I got two little birdies. I like them, they're kind of like sailory, about travelling. Birds fly. We fly a lot."
