Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

The 21-year-old actress attended the UK premiere of the penultimate movie in the vampire film series at London's Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford with the 25-year-old actor – who is in a relationship with her off-screen – and admitted she liked shooting the "close-up" love scenes in the film.

Kristen – who plays Bella Swan in the motion picture - said: "It was an interesting experience. It was different to what we ever had before. Because usually we can just refer to the book, we've got pages.

"But it was good - everyone thinks love scenes are always going to be really awkward and stuff - but you know appropriately so. Lots of close-ups and sexy face."

The movie sees the onscreen lovers Bella and Robert's vampire alter-ego Edward Cullen get married following his proposal at the end of the third film 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' – and the heartthrob thinks the motion picture "wouldn't make any sense" if the nuptials didn't occur.

He said: "I proposed to Bella so many times ... you had to get married at some point otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. It would look like you had some kind of issue."

The couple were joined by co-star Taylor Lautner - who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the movie series – at the premiere, which was attended by a number of stars including singer Pixie Lott, Heidi Range and pregnant The Saturdays singer Una Healy who was accompanied by her boyfriend Ben Foden.
