“Glee” star Darren Criss kept busy over the holiday period by lending a hand to charity at his Los Angeles concerts.

The actor performed to fans at his sell-out shows including one at The Roxy in West Hollywood.

Criss encouraged audience members to fill 15 large sacks with toys which were then distributed to kids who were living in hardship.

The singer has also vowed to donate a portion of ticket sales to a worthy charitable cause.

Also during December Criss took part in the event Trevor Live at the Hollywood Palladium, which raised money for The Trevor Project’s work in helping gay teenagers.

For the show, the actor paired up with pop sensation Katy Perry for a duet of  her track "Teenage Dream".
