Erin Andrews and her cheeky dance partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy, were shockingly placed in the bottom two this evening on "Dancing with the Stars".

Only the public vote pulled them through to compete for another week.

Presenter, Tom Bergeron, said it best. He said “This is a bit of a shock. Despite getting their highest score last night they are in the bottom two.”

Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood were the unfortunate pair to be voted off this evening.

As Erin and Maks heard the news that they were in the bottom two they must have been comforted by the judge’s words.

“You’ve done incredible work all the way through. I’m surprised to see you there,” said Bruno.
Even tough judge Glenn said “To see you both standing there is nonsensical.”

Evan Lysacek, who scored a perfect 30 with his partner this week, said “Erin and Maks were phenomenal last night.”

As Erin and Maks stood waiting to hear their fate Tom said “The worst part is that it’s your [Erin’s] birthday.”

Looking back at the eight performances in this weeks show Glen said “This has been the best week of the series so far.”

He said “Erin’s quick step was fun fast fabulous…This is the closest competition yet.”

Now that the competition is down to the final five couples the competition will heat up.

Maks seems to be getting really serious about winning. He said “The only ones left are the ones that can dance, the judges have decided that.

“People don’t remember second place, they remember first place.”

From now on the celebrities will have to learn two individual dances per week. The competition is getting close. Lets hope Erin and Maks can keep up.
