Alan Ware, Siobhan Magus's uncle, has spoken to the Connacht Tribune about his niece and her Irish roots.
Ware is a drummer for the Boston-based Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, and said Siobhan's great grandparents on her mother Colleen’s side hail from Clonmel in Tipperary and Mallow, Cork.
The ancestors of her father, Alan Magnus, who is also a musician, hail from County Galway, although Ware was unsure of the exact town or area.
The Magnus family keep in touch with their Magnus, O’ Riordan and Mullin relatives in Ireland, he told the newspaper.
“She’s enjoying being there (in Los Angeles) and is having a good time. I spoke with her on Sunday and she’s doing good and really looking forward to tonight’s live show. There are many different sides to her and it will be interesting to see what the judges think,” Ware said.
