Above all I hope he knows what he is doing. It is the most difficult decision any American president has to make to put our soldiers in harm's way.

We have lost a lot of young Americans this decade. Let us hope we will not lose many more.

The easist thing is to bring all our troops home and not get involved in conflicts outside of our borders but is the easy thing the right thing? Isolationist policies led to our involvement in both world wars eventually so maybe being involved early saves lives in the long run- who is to say? I only hope all involved have looked at everything and weighed the costs or potential costs against what can be gained.
