  That's grand, obviously that site is aimed at two-dimensional plastic people who take steroids with their protein shakes and have their chests waxed at the tanning salon. Would you really be interested in a woman who only seeks that kind of man? Probably not.   @Jessyluv & turzovka- the Spaniards are blood related to Irish anyway..the final "invasion" of Ireland was of Milisius -first Ardrigh of Ireland, no?? and his brother is the one who remained in Spain to settle the land there..so blood and relations to Ireland n Spain have always been tight. But even then, Norse settlers have always intermixed with Irish and the English have as well.. and many Irish ended up settling in France after William of Orange...soooo really it's unfair to say that anyone is truly 'pureblood' anything because it just doesn't happen that often anymore, no matter where you live. As for the article itself, yah, it's all BS. those sites are BS and anyone who can't appreciate the good looks of a Celtic man is just blind!! ;)

  Guys, i really wish you'd stop using mixed Irish as an arguement. The majority of Irish-Americans are mixed up so much they're barely Irish anymore. So please stop using Irish American actors because they don't help the "Irish are beautiful" case since all the actors you name are like 4-5 other ethnicities. That said, i think some of you Americans need to actualy visit Ireland. its far from Collin Farrells & Olivia Wilde's running around FAR FROM.

  Living in a city of 8 million people here in NYC I have seen all kinds of creatures on the subway going to work. Irish men are most certainly not the ugliest I have seen; in fact they would be some of the better sights I have seen out here.

  Wow...not only is that a BS idea for a website, but what a ludicrous finding! If I had to choose some nationalities/ethnicities to label as "most attractive" overall, Irish would rank right up near the top. (And perhaps being a redheaded, part-Irish lass biases me a bit, but I'd like to think I'd feel the same even if I weren't.) Put simply, Irish folk are hotties, hehe. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but come ON--how could people fail to see that?! ;) And what do I want with tan, "beach-body physiques," anyway? Give me a cool, pale, genuine laddie any day of the week.

They are very handsome men who are passionate and caring of there familes. there's nothing ugly about these men.   I have to disagree. I work in an industry (airlines) where I meet more people in one day than most people would meet in a week or a month. I have to say that from my observation the Irish and Irish American men and women are the best looking of all the ethnetic groups. They usually have very nice features; the men are all tall and the women are very attractive. Most the Irish both the men and women would not even join such a site. I think that Beautifulpeople.com is trying go get more Irish to join by saying that most of the Irish are rejected. They are the most educated of all groups and a site like that would not interest them.

  As a senior I have to mention the all American male, John Wayne, born Marion Morrison. John Wayne was so proud of his Irish background, named his yacht "The Wild Geese" and even became a catholic on his deathbed. He always said his favorite movie was "The Quiet Man." He looked typically Irish.

  I don't know anything about the group that put this trash out but looking around today it is hard to find good looking people anywhere. I think the Irish, men and women are extremely good looking. What is getting to me is why the Irish accept this garbage and don't refute it. One thing I find about this site is negativism in all aspects of life and it is getting me down. As for Irish women, what could be lovelier than an Irish girl with big blue eyes, a splash of freckles across a tiny nose with red, blonde or brown hair. Most Irish men I know are tall, rugged individuals and much better looking than the people around them. Get over the negativism. By the way, Aiden Quinn inspired a generation of Aidens of all ethnicities all across the US as did Liam Neeson. Both of these names were unknown in the US befroe these two Irish men were put on the screen.

  As I'm a 32 year old man just under 3/4 Irish myself, with two Grandparents on my Father's side fully Irish and One on my Mother's side like myself at just over 1/2 Irish, I was bummed to read the headline. But then I read this magical woman's writing and felt entirely rejuvented. I shared the article with my social network crowd. I love Irish Central, it makes me feel confident, especially when I'm drinking lager just before Noon. I live in the States, Molly Muldoon! As an aside: I think percentiles like this aren't always relevant. Ten percent of how many? In any case the operators of the site could be more honest: "Ten percent of Irish Men (who've tried our service despite our offensive and delusional policy) make it through the gauntlet of our subscribers (who aren't gauranteed in their faculties or morals and probably share said deluded state) and are considered beautiful by our standards (which exist to make money entertaining and catering to mass delusions and apparently promoted through hysteria)." Think of all of the jokes about the woman who lusts after a fireman (and they are usually of Irish descent). What a crazy, nutty article. I think that if you are Italian, say, and a woman, you may only like so-called "manly" men who are Mediterranean types. It's cultural.   What a load of rubbish. "Boy" George O'Dowd is one of the hottest men ever. Tons of gals loved him back in the day and many gals still find him very attractive to this day. When I show them a pic of him without make up, almost everyone says he is a hottie. They would I'm awful since I have never been tanning, occasionally wear make up, and don't get botox or cosmetic surgery. Is that what people really want ? Shallowness and fakeness ? As for the weight, in the US many people are over weight, of all backgrounds.

I see Irishmen from all walkjs of life and most are as cute as they can be, but mostly they are wonderful big hearted people who value friendship over looks.   I would argue that obesity, plus lack of taste in clothing, are what brings Irishmen down. The Poles & Eastern Europeans I see in Ireland have even worse taste in clothing, but they are rarely fat. Irish women are also getting very fat. In the years I have been going to Ireland Irish women seem to have put on an average of 12 lbs. (I've put on about six). Now you can tell when you are getting near the gate for Dublin/Shannon at Newark or JFK by the increased number of badly-dressed fat people (and children clutching bags of french fries). My Italian-American wife always points out the fact that Irish babies are actually very pretty. She thinks that bad food and other bad habits are what changes pretty Irish babies into ugly Irish teenagers and adults.
