This is more stupidity from the columnist that is earning a name as IrishCentral's biggest idiot. Apart from friendly rivalry, there is no antipathy between Dublin and the rest of the country. In fact most Dubliners have a parent--or two--who is not from Dublin. Most country people have a son-or daughter--who lives in Dublin. The real tension is between Irish people and the foreign immigrants who now dominate in some Irish towns. According to all available opinion polls, fully 70% iof Irish people are opposed to mass Immigration. The foreign immigrants were brought into the country without consulting the people of Ireland--Dublin and rural--as to whether they acquiesced in this colonization. That's the real issue, Fitzgerald, don't be an idiot in trying to manufacture a split that doesn't exist.
