The United States file sharing company, Dropbox Inc, has reported that Irish rock legends, U2’s Bono (Paul Hewson) and the Edge (David Evans) have invested in the company.
According to BizJournals, Dropbox will not say how much the U2 band members invested.

Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, who started Dropbox together, who are CEO and chief technology officer, respectively, broke the news with a photo shared on Twitter.

Last October, Dropbox raised $250 million for a consortium of venture capital firms and private investors. It is believed that the U2 musicians invested at this time.

Bono already has a number of technology investments including Facebook, his most successful investment to date. This investment was made with the venture capital fund Elevation Partners, however, his latest investment is said to be an individual one.

Recent reports say that Bono’s technology investments could make him a billionaire.
