An Illinois teen may be expelled from her school for bring a Baileys Irish Cream and milk cocktail to school.

According to local police, the 13-year-old Glen Ellyn student was caught with the concoction by a staff member. Her classmates informed the staff, who then called the police at 8.18am, December 9th.

Glen Ellyn Police Deputy Chief Bill Holmer told the Daily Herald: “The initial student mixed it with chocolate milk and gave it to other kids.”

The Hadley Junior High School student gave the mixture to four or five students before the police arrived.

Police also said no one at the scene was drunk.

Under the Glen Ellyn School District, 41 disciplinary rules the possession of alcohol carries a minimum sanction of suspension and a maximum sanction of a 10-day suspension with the recommendation for expulsion. The school and the girl's family are "working with" authorities to determine the next steps.
