Gardai in Dublin are investigating a video that has surfaced which features five masked men wielding guns who threaten to kill specific men, as well as their wives, girlfriends and children.

The Irish Independent reports that local gardai believe the two minute video was filmed somewhere in north Dublin, and that the men in the video may be members of a Travellers’ gang.

In the video, the men make reference to Patrick McCann, who was shot in Finglas, Dublin last Friday. McCann survived being sprayed in the face by ricocheted bullets, but the masked men said that McCann was not the intended target.

The masked men, however, said that they were planning attacks for the intended target of last Friday’s shooting: "I'm going to blow away your wives, your girlfriends, everyone is getting it.”

"We're ready for war. We're coming to you tonight. The pipe bombs are going in through your windows now."

The Independent writes how the video is part of an ongoing two-year feud between gangs in the area which began when a major criminal was involved in an assault.
