What happens at The Penthouse Club usually stays at the club unless it involves a falling stripper and a visit to the ER.

According to the Daily Mail, Irish American Patrick Gallagher claimed that during his stag night a stripper fell on him with so much force that she tore his bladder, according to his lawsuit filed in the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court.

Gallagher was out celebrating with friends at The Penthouse Club in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania the night before he was due to tie the knot.

As often happens at these blow outs, Gallagher was pulled up on to the stage for a lap dance from the exotic dancers.

But when one dancer tried a particularly ambitious move, disaster struck. The stripper allegedly 'shimmied up the pole, and from a great height, launched herself down onto his abdomen,' Gallagher's lawyer Neil Murray told Philly.com. The exotic dancer has not yet been identified.

The groom was in so much pain he and his group had to leave the club, according to the lawyer. The next morning, Gallagher was admitted to hospital with a ruptured bladder which required surgery.

Gallagher is now suing the club for at least $50,000 to cover his his medical costs and to factor in his humiliation and mental anguish.

The Penthouse Club was unavailable for comments, the Mail reported.

Gallagher's unexpected injuries occurred in November 2010 while he and his male friends were enjoying their 'diamond bachelor package' at the club.

The diamond package cost the men $140 each and it included two hours in a private lounge at the top of the club with an open liquor bar, hot appetizers and a private waitress. For this package the groom is always invited onstage.

The Penthouse Club opened in 2009 and caters to a variety of audiences. Seven dancers and a manager were arrested last year on prostitution charges at the club, the Mail reports.

The club was raided last November after allegations that dancers were performing sex acts in secluded areas of the club while the establishment took a cut of the profits.
